Easy Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe

A super easy BBQ sauce recipe that is also super simple, takes no time and is delicious. It also caramelizes really nicely on the grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 ⅓ cups ketchup
  • ¾ cup cider vinegar
  • ½ cup loosely packed brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons paprika (smoked preferable)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons dried minced onions
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons fresh cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Tabasco chipotle sauce

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan off the heat. Mix well to incorporate.
  • Turn your burner to medium heat and bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring constantly.
  • Cook for 5-10 minutes and turn off heat. Let the sauce sit for 10 minutes while the onions reconstitute.
