This French haricot verts recipe uses traditional French green beans that are more tender and flavorful than regular green beans.
French green beans/ haricots verts Extra virgin olive oil or clarified butter Almonds Garlic Lemon Ground black pepper Kosher salt
Blanch the beans in a pan over medium heat until tender crisp. Remove with a basket skimmer.
Immediately plunge the green beans into an ice water to stop the cooking process.
Toast the almonds in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook the garlic for 2 minutes.
Add the beans to the garlic, continue to cook haricot until they are warm.
Add the toasted almonds and lemon zest to the beans. Add some salt and freshly ground black pepper.
