Our content is made to help you with the knowledge and skills to create delightfully delicious meals in your kitchen.

Why We Write This Blog

This is a deeply personal journey for me, and my goal is to share the love and joy of cooking, especially with an emphasis on low-carb cuisine. The low carb and keto diets have positively impacted my life in ways I had never imagined, and I want to help as many people learn how to cook this way as possible. This blog is the chosen platform to share tried-and-tested recipes, practical tips, and insightful articles to help our readers embrace the low carb lifestyle.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

We use AI only where necessary and only for language generation purposes. This site does not use any AI generated images.

Our Process

Understanding how the process works for both the recipes and articles on this blog is important. Let's look at our editorial process for both.

  1. Recipes:

    • Development: In 2017, I started living low carb and have been creating new recipes to share with my family. We experiment in the kitchen, blending traditional recipes with low carb ingredients to create something delicious and easy to recreate. I have thousands of tested, original recipes waiting to be published on the blog.
    • Testing: Our recipes undergo a minimum of one round of testing to ensure they are foolproof, easy to follow, and yield consistent results. More complex recipes are tested multiple times to ensure they can be reproduced easily at home.
    • Presentation: We believe that food should also be a feast for the eyes. Each recipe is accompanied by high-quality photos representing the final dish as authentically as possible. In addition, each recipe has several process shots to help readers understand critical steps in the recipe.
  2. Low Carb Articles:

    • Research: Articles are grounded in thorough research, drawing from credible sources to provide well-rounded and accurate information on low carb living. When helpful and necessary, we provide sourcing information.
    • Open Mindedness: We know that everyone who has chosen to live the low carb or keto lifestyle is doing it for different reasons. With that in mind, we present the information without bias toward total daily carb counts, as they differ for each person.
    • Expertise: We have professionals like Brenda Peralta, a registered dietitian, to ensure our content is informative and nutritionally sound. Brenda is consistent and thorough in fact-checking the information provided on this blog.
    • Real-Life Application: We emphasize practical advice and the real-life application of the low carb and keto diet practices. I reflect heavily on real-world experience with the low-carb lifestyle. I have been cycling between low carb and keto since 2017, have created thousands of low carb and keto recipes, and researched hundreds of ingredients to learn their true application to these diets.

Fact-Checking

To maintain the integrity and trustworthiness of our content, we have a rigorous fact-checking process in place. Our collaboration with registered dietitian Brenda Peralta plays a crucial role in this process. She reviews our content for nutritional accuracy, helping us ensure that our recipes, articles, and advice are delicious and nutritionally beneficial.
