5 Reasons to love this recipe

I love champagne summer cocktails, and this particular recipe is my favorite for 5 reasons:

  1. Better than any other champagne drink I know.
  2. Light, delicious, and full of flavor from the fresh fruit.
  3. Just a touch of sweetness to please the palate.
  4. Fantastic for a party or an intimate gathering.
  5. Refreshing on a hot day.

Are Champagne Cocktails Low-Carb?

Yes, a champagne cocktail can be low-carb if the portions are controlled mindfully and all its ingredients are low-carb. However, this recipe is NOT low-carb as it contains carb-heavy ingredients like rosé and lemonade. Unfortunately, there is no way to make it low-carb-friendly while retaining its deliciousness. I created this recipe way back when I was only eating gluten-free.

Summer Champagne Cocktail Ingredients List

For a fun cocktail with champagne, you can never go wrong with such an ingredient list:

  • 1 bottle of rosé wine
  • 1 bottle champagne, cava, or other sparkling wine
  • 10 strawberries, sliced
  • 2.5 cups of lemonade
  • ½ lemon, sliced
Ingredients for summer champagne cocktail including strawberries, a bottle of champagne, lemon juice, and wine bottle.

Ingredient Substitutions

Try out the following ingredient swaps if you're looking for something else:

  • Rosé: Get a mineral-laden Sauvignon Blanc if you cannot find a rosé wine. Avoid anything too punchy with fruit.
  • Champagne: Use cava, prosecco, or dry sparkling wine. Also, if you feel like cutting back on alcohol, substitute the champagne with non-alcoholic sparkling wine or even sparkling water to make an infused rosé spritzer.

Additional Ingredients

The ingredients listed above are sufficient for making the best summer champagne punch. However, if you want to jazz up this classic cocktail, here's my suggestion:

  • Mint: This quick cocktail loves a dash of added mint. It gives a new, fresh dimension to the drink.

Note: The mint is optional and not part of the original recipe. Use it for flavor enhancement only.

Cooking Method

  • No-cook recipe

Preparation Steps

  1. Gather all the tools and ingredients.
  2. Wash the strawberries and the lemon thoroughly, then slice them.
  3. Add the strawberries and lemon to a glass pitcher or jar large enough to hold all the liquid.
  4. Add the rosé wine and the lemonade.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best flavor.
  6. Pour into champagne flutes, filling halfway, then top each flute with champagne or cava.
  7. Add a fresh sliced strawberry and fresh mint to garnish if you like.

💡 My Pro Tip

Your choice of lemonade will make or break this summertime champagne cocktail. I understand how hard it is to choose a store-bought lemonade brand from all the overwhelming options. Buy a lemonade with real lemons and a moderate amount of sugar. Why? Because the strawberries also add sweetness to the cocktail, and we don't want it to be too sweet. Nevertheless, the lemonade must have some sugar. I mistakenly bought a zero-sugar lemonade mix once, and it ruined my cocktail. It tasted unpleasantly dry, almost sour. In a nutshell, purchase lemonade with real lemons and a moderate sugar content!

⏲️ Time-Saving Tips

  • Make the lemon, strawberry, and rosé mix ahead of time.
  • Double the batch, particularly on a hot day - these cocktails disappear fast!
  • Chill the champagne in advance. Warm champagne is an absolute bummer.

What To Serve With Summer Champagne Cocktails?

The best thing about a fun champagne drink like this strawberry champagne cocktail is its versatility. It goes well with a couple of snacks:

  • Keto No-bake Cheesecake: Serve the beautiful cocktail with this sweet treat as a dessert. The refreshing flavors in the cocktail complement the luscious creamy deliciousness of the cheesecake.
  • Lemon No-bake Cheesecake: The lemony flavors in the cheesecake are a perfect match for the bright flavors in the fruity champagne cocktail.
  • Strawberry Shortcake: The fresh cocktail flavors combined with the layers of strawberry flavors in this classic dessert are a match made in culinary heaven.
  • Chipotle Chicken Wings: Amaze your party guests by pairing these easy Chipotle wings with this elegant drink. The combination is delicious!

Storage Instruction

  • In this recipe, only the lemonade-strawberry-rosé infusion stores well in the fridge. Everything else must be consumed once opened.

Recipe Conclusion

This Summer Champagne Cocktail is your best bet if you need something simple yet sophisticated. It is one of my favorite refreshing champagne cocktails for summertime. I am forever grateful to my friend Lisa for introducing me to the wonderful infusion of strawberries, lemons, rosé, and champagne. With the simple ingredients list, anyone can easily pull off the summer fling flavors. Remember, the trick is finding the perfect lemonade with moderate sugar content and real lemons.

Add this perfect cocktail to your menu already! You won't regret it. Make a large batch for your friends on a hot summer afternoon at the beach, on the lake, at breakfast, or brunch. Have fun - but remember to drink responsibly!

If you're not into champagne or don't want to spend the money, look for alternatives such as cava or prosecco. Just make sure that they are Brut rather than demi-sec.
Don't want more alcohol in your drink than just the rosé? No problem. Add in some sparkling water for an infused Rosé Spritzer. It's delicious.
